Personal development coaching is a collaborative partnership between a client and coach focused on empowering the client to positive lasting changes.  It’s a structured partnership, where we take a systematic approach to assess what’s holding you back and create a strategy to break through barriers that previously may have seemed impossible.

How Will We Work Together?

I refer to the time we will work together as a coaching engagement.  Typically in a coaching engagement, I will work through the following steps: 

  • Assessment: We’ll start our coaching engagement by assessing your current situation, identifying what you want to accomplish, and understanding your values, motivations, strengths, and challenges.  

  • Goal-Setting: Together, we’ll set clear and achievable goals for our coaching engagement that align with your aspirations. 

  • Strategy: Once we’ve identified the destination, we’ll build a roadmap with actionable steps that will help you reach your goals. 

  • Accountability: We’ll meet for regular coaching sessions to provide accountability for your goals. 

  • Overcoming Obstacles: As we progress, we will address any obstacles that come up that are preventing you from progressing and identify ways to navigate through them. 


  • Reflection: As we conclude our coaching engagement, we’ll celebrate your accomplishments and reflect on your journey.

Many clients ask how long coaching lasts.  While this is a great question, it can be difficult to answer.   Often, the length of the coaching engagement can vary based on several factors, including your goals, the complexity of the issues you are looking to address, the frequency of meetings, and the challenges you encounter along the way.  Coaching is a highly personalized process, so there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.  

Some clients may achieve their desired outcome in just a few sessions, while others choose an extended coaching engagement to work towards a large goal.  By taking the time to learn your goals, I can give you a recommendation on the length of time. But ultimately, it’s up to you how long we meet.
